Stavros

Stavros (Greek: Σταυρός) is another very popular scuba diving spot in the Cape Greco area.

The very high visibility (20+) in conjunction with the underwater caves make it a must dive location. The underwater caves are big enough for a diver with full gear to enter and swim through. Whilst in the caves, the air bubbles get trapped on the ceiling creating a majestic spectacle.

Stavros is also known for a big hole it has on the rocks that allow the divers to enter through and end up in the sea. If you are going to attempt this make sure that you are in control of all of your equipment so that you will not get trapped and also that you have your buddy near by to assist in the event that something goes wrong.

Another popular way to start a dive at this location is to jump from the adjacent rocks into the water, from a height of approximately 4 meters (only for the brave or foolish).

A rocky location with both rocky and sandy sea bed Stavros is ideal for intermediate and experienced divers and swimmers.
